We have excellent news for all DOS space combat sim fans! Paul Lauzon, creator of Star Quest I in the 27th Century, has made the full version of the game available from itch.io under the 'Name your own price' model: Star Quest 1 in the 27th Century by Virtual Adventures.

That's right, you can now get the complete game with all scenarios and difficulty settings right from the author! Paul fixed it to properly work in DOSBox, and the download is bundled with DOSBox for easy installation and play on modern Windows.

In Star Quest I, you are a feelance pilot doing various missions in the far future of space-faring mankind. The game has all the features of a high-profile space simulation of the era and boasts a versatile texture-mapped 3D engine, allowing you to fly from a planet's surface into open space in real time. Ten difficulty settings will test your skill across over a dozen different scenarios ranging from attack and defence missions to a first-person version of Asteroids and even to a peaceful racing event in space.

Big thanks to Paul for making the game available to all of us! Happy Holidays!
