Game description
Battlelords is a turn-based wargame in the vein of the classic Empire series. Up to eight players can vie for global domination on a single large map, commanding armies of assorted land, sea and air units.
Each player starts with a few factories and units, and must first expand the territory under their control by seeking out further neutral factories and capturing them with infantry. Each factory has a unique selection of technologies that it can produce, so the expansion will also increase the player's options on the battlefield. This is somewhat similar to Warlords, except in a modern setting instead of a fantasy world. As the domains of each player grow, conflict is inevitable, which is also resolved by units attacking each other in turns.
Battlelords was released as freeware. Several additional scenarios for the game can be downloaded separately.
