Game description
E.T.Chess is a chess programme with a simple but readable graphical user interface (GUI) and original algorithms by its author Eric Triki. The author confesses that it does not always play the best way possible, but it is rather strong, especially for beginner players. Another unique feature is that E.T.Chess taunts the player for making mistakes or bad moves.
E.T.Chess was released as freeware, the latest version dating back to 2001. The Windows rewrite of the programme no longer uses the custom GUI but relies on the Xboard engine instead.
