Game description
Federation Online plunges you into the world of wrestling, with the twist that the player is in change of a wrestling TV show, but also controls fighters during the actual matches. The game features many playable characters (possibly based on real-life wrestlers) and a good selection of different match types. The objective is not just to win, but also to climb the TV show ratings to the top.
The game is probably intended first and foremost for wrestling fans, but may prove an interesting distraction for the rest of the players as well. It does look like an improved version of a console arcade-style sports title from the early 90s, and offers enough complexity to warrant spending some time with it if you get interested. The art is not superb, but has a consistent pixel style quality that makes it stand above many other indie games.
Federation Online was developed using DIV Games Studio and released as freeware, but laid the groundwork for a later commercial Windows game by the same author.
