Game description

Gravity Well is loosely based on the arcade hit Lunar Lander, adding several new features. The player needs to safely steer a landing module towards the surface of a planet or moon in the Solar System, carefully using the craft's sole thruster to navigate to a safe spot and then descend at a speed slow enough to avoid damage or complete destruction of the module on impact.

To complicate matters even more than in the original Lunar Lander, each area of the celestial body's surface that allows for safe landings has already some equipment installed, and in the optional combat mode there is a gun turret ready to fire at the module for some reason. The player can return the favour in this mode and drop bombs to clear away these threats, but otherwise a great deal of precision is required to successfully land.

Gravity Well was originally marketed as shareware, but author Kurt W. Dekker released the registered version as freeware in June 2006.
