Game description
Silly Knight is a side-scrolling arcade platform game about a knight exploring a haunted castle. It was created for a DOS programming competition by Czech website High-Voltage.cz. The author, Petr "AfBu" Kratina, used the 16-colour low-resolution graphics (which are actually a CGA text mode) from Paku Paku, and Silly Knight looks very good, managing to capture the look and feel of many similar games from the late 80s and early 90s.
Explore the dungeon, defeat or avoid enemies, collect keys and other items to progress further. Note that once you re-enter a previously visited room, all monsters there will be respawned (and might attack you before you can react if you enter a door too close to them). Knight statues with a hearth underneath serve as respawn points and can also restore health.
Silly Knight was released as freeware.
