Game description
Slicks 'N' Slide is a very popular, fast and challenging top-down racing game. It is somewhat similar to Death Rally (also from Finland) in that the player and the AI racers can use weapons against each other, but here, the cars are more tiny and each track fits into exactly one screen (like in SuperSpeed).
Originally released in the early-mid 90s, Slicks 'N' Slide is still marketed as shareware by its author, with the registered version available for purchase from the official website. The most recent shareware release includes many more tracks than the older ones, but you can still obtain a track editor and even more tracks when you register, which you are encouraged to do after a 30-day trial period.
