Game description

In this German platform game you control an anthropomorphic badger with a gun who is the only hope of saving the magical land. You will visit various exotic locations, including haunted ruins, underground passages, the sea bed and futuristic tech bases, fighting various enemies and solving puzzles.

Tailchaser features some very good sprite work and decent music, but gameplay itself is pretty slowly paced and repetitive. Even though the badger carries around a big gun, don't expect exciting fights with monsters. Many of the hostile creatures, which are overall rather rare, are static, and the most common type of hazard will be some kind of projectile being shot from above at regular intervals, like acid drops or laser beams, which you can simply bypass by carefully timing your steps, and that is not challenging at all.

Tailchaser was originally sold commercially, but author Markus Mück has made the full version freeware.
