Game description

The Color Wizard is a children's digital colouring book that has more depth than just a simple idle plaything. It offers a good variety of pictures and a rather sophisticated toolset to easily create not just simple colours, but also gradients and shading. Most importantly, for each picture you can activate the "artist mode" and watch it being coloured by a professional artist, with some tips on various techniques along the way. This makes The Color Wizard a true learning tool both for general painting and for 8-bit pixel art in particular.

The game includes a large number of different pictures thematically split into several categories: Sharks, Rapunzel, Dinosaurs, Aesop's Fables and Mother Goose Tales. Originally marketed as shareware, only two pictures from each set is available in the unregistered version, but otherwise it is feature-complete.

Developer ImagiSOFT has declared The Color Wizard freeware. The full version, which is a Windows port of the original DOS programme, is available for download from the official website.
