Description (by MrFlibble)

Akiko and Minami is a fan remake of The Great Giana Sisters - itself a Super Mario Bros. clone. The Giana Sisters have turned out to be a very popular game in Germany, with more than one remake having been created by German fans, but this one, unlike many others, including The Great Giant Sisters, uses its own art which looks nothing like the original. At the same time, all game mechanics and level layouts are accurately recreated.

Akiko and Minami was programmed with the DIV Games Studio suite, and is freeware. It was left incomplete by the author (the most recent release is a public beta), but the game contains the first four levels recreated from The Great Giana Sisters, and supports one- or two-player modes.
