Game description
Billabong Racers is an arcade kart racing game with animals, similar to Wacky Wheels, but with high resolution graphics and pre-rendered characters. The objective of each race is to grab 20 mushrooms lying around the track and finish at least in the top four. There are also various powerups scattered around that can aid the player against competitors.
Billabong is an Australian word that means a dried part of the riverbed which only gets covered with water during floods.
Billabong Racers was developed with DIV Games Studio and released as freeware. The game instantly became popular and later landed on various magazine coverdisks and game compilations.
