Game description
Black Knight is a fairly sophisticated but easy to learn combat flight simulator that allows you to fly the F/A-18 Hornet multirole aircraft. The game uses relatively advanced graphics for its time and offers a good selection of training and combat missions, as well as a custom mission builder and a free flight mode.
The game comes with a detailed built-in tutorial that can be turned on or off at any time, giving beginner players an easy grasp of basic controls and simulation mechanics without the need to study the game manual. This makes Black Knight the preferred choice for anyone wishing to get into 90s flight sims in general.
The game was distributed as shareware, and the unregistered version offers about a half of training and combat missions, but no custom missions or free flight. There is still plenty of content to try out and play. Unlike many other flight simulators, Black Knight plays background music and supports the MOD format, allowing players to add their own tunes to listen to during missions.
