Game description

Cendric's Quest is a first-person graphic adventure game that is the prequel to SerpentHead. Set in the Castle IronGate, it tells the story of how the SerpentScepter came to be reassembled by Cendric the Royal Mage, prior to the events of SerpentHead.

The game is similar to SerpentHead Deluxe both in visuals and playing mechanics. The game world is viewed from the first-person perspective and represented by a series of static screens depicting a room or a portion of the scenery. The player interacts with the world using the mouse, being able to look, "do" (perform an action or take an object), use an item from the inventory, or cast magic spells. Progressing through the game involves solving various puzzles and finding items which help to get to previously inaccessible areas.

Cendric's Quest was sold as shareware. The unregistered version ends after finding the first part of the sceptre (out of three). A Windows native release of this game is also available.
