Game description
Enchantasy: Quest for Eternal Grimoire is an Ultima-style fantasy role-playing game (RPG). The player character is a mage's apprentice tasked with assembling a team of adventurers on the quest to save the kingdom. For this, they need to locate the fabled Eternal Grimoire before the forces of evil do.
Presented in the typical top-down view with familiar keyboard controls, Enchantasy is a solid entry in the "Ultima clone" sub-genre. Although it cannot boast very pretty visuals, it has all the features of a full-fledged role-playing adventure, with a large non-linear game world, many different quests, creatures, spells and items.
Originally appearing in 1992 as a commercial product, Enchantasy was re-released as a shareware title in mid-90s. The unregistered game includes the entire world, but is limited to only five save games.
