Game description
Mutant Penguins is a weird cartoonish action/arcade game with some puzzle elements. The premise is that aliens try to invade Earth disguised as penguins, while real penguins attempt to stop them, aided by two completely odd creatures called Bernard and Rodney, whose role the player assumes.
You control one of the two characters directly, with the aim in each level to obtain weapons and prevent the alien penguins from reaching a place called the Doomscale. Once you have a weapon (either a frying pan or a bat), you can smash the aliens, or also use special items to slow them down. A critical element of gameplay are little blue gremlins that the player needs to collect in order to open bonus chests and access other items.
The playable demo, originally a PC Review special. includes one Christmas-themed level.
