Game description

Russian Roulette is an arcade-style flyer/shooter not unlike Terminal Velocity. However, instead of perpetual wilderness dotted with enemy installations and swarming with enemies, this game offers more compact, but realistic-looking locations rendered in very nice early texture-mapped 3D graphics.

Aliens have invaded and occupied Earth, and the player controls a prisoner who manages to escape and commandeer an enemy fighter craft. This lone guy now needs to disable the aliens' defences and liberate the planet. The core gameplay is very similar to Terminal Velocity, as you can adjust your cruising speed and manoeuvre around, shooting enemies and trying to avoid damage yourself. But the environment is much more detailed, showcasing vast cityscapes, suburbs, rural areas and other recognizable locations.

The full game includes six scenarios, some of which may be played in any order, and the rest needs to be unlocked. The playable demo includes the first mission and only runs in the VGA 320x200 mode, while the retail game can also use the high-resolution SVGA mode.
